SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 23, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator George K. Muñoz

    1. On page 5, lines 1 and 2, strike the underscored language.

    2. On page 5, line 9, strike "; and" and strike lines 10 through 14 and insert in lieu thereof a period.

    3. On page 5, line 17, strike the closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof:

         "E. In fiscal years 2027 and 2028, the broadband office may expend money from the fund for grants to each school district or charter school to implement a policy regarding student use of wireless communication devices in accordance with Section 22-1-17 NMSA 1978; provided that no more than one million dollars ($1,000,000) may be expended in each of these fiscal years."".
